This policy explains what information Helping Hams collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Helping Hams is a free media library funded by donated content and (once enabled) advertising, with 100% of proceeds going to charity.

Information we collect

If you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you choose to set one, a display name. If you sign in with Google instead of a password, we receive the basic profile information Google shares for sign-in (your name and email address) — we don't receive your Google password or access anything else in your Google account.

Browsing and watching/listening/reading the catalog doesn't require an account and doesn't send your identity to the separate media library service that stores the catalog itself — that service only ever sees anonymous requests for public content.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in between visits. This is required for the site to function and isn't used for tracking or advertising.

Helping Hams plans to display advertising through Google AdSense to support the site and its charitable giving. Once that's enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can learn more about how Google uses this information, and opt out of personalized advertising, at google.com/settings/ads and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information. We don't currently process any payment information — paid subscriptions aren't built yet, and this policy will be updated with the relevant details before that changes.

Children's privacy

Helping Hams is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
